Law Students
Jo can work on all aspects of your performance in court:
presentation and voice production.
“Jo’s tutoring is both dynamic and professional and I found, with her warmth and humour, I relaxed and made swift progress. I can thoroughly recommend her.” Matthew Ollier, trainee GP.
As you can see from these web-pages, I am currently engaged by the NHS as a specialist in Communication Skills and Presentation through Drama Training and I am a trainer for the Professional Support Unit at the Wessex Deanery.
Additionally, as Theatre Arts Specialist and Education Consultant for the Society of Education Consultants, I run corporate workshops for RADA Enterprises under the heading “Staveworks”.
After a long and distinguished career as Director and Drama teacher, I currently lead day-long Communication Skill Intensives commissioned by the NHS, (these currently take place at the Wessex Deanery in Winchester and are touring Medical Deaneries in the UK). I have designed and delivered these principally for GPs coming from abroad who require improved skills in order to pass their Clinical Skills Assessment and begin their medical practice in the UK.
I have now been asked to design a shorter course for English nationals: young doctors who need to improve in the area of Speech and Communication and I also offer bespoke one-to-one sessions for more experienced doctors who need to refresh their communication skills. In addition, I tutor younger doctors who are experiencing nerves and/or other problems associated with taking exams and other public situations which could also be relevant for law undergraduates.
I would be very happy to offer bespoke one-to-one’s for law students who are experiencing similar problems, and can be contacted on here.
