Lamda Tuition and Speech Coaching

Jo is currently teaching Lamda at the Sylvia Young Theatre School and is adept at tutoring the 14 to 18 age range in all the exams on offer. She can also provide superb one to one tuition. (Jo is fully CRB checked). She also undertakes speech coaching and can make a huge difference to your or your child’s ability to speak confidently in public. Jo works on such areas as:

  • Stance: an upright head-carriage, a relaxed but gesturally dynamic and authoritative approach.
  • Poise: maintaining the above in the face of nerves in front of a large audience or examiner.
  • Vocal clarity: clear enunciation and diction.
  • Correct use of the breath and the resonators: parts of the body that help to produce a clear and rounded voice.

Working to shape a speech, or address of any kind focussing on tone, emphasis, phrasing, pause, pitch, projection, punctuation, etc.
